These terms govern your use of Dookie Deluxe — our mobile app, our website at dookiedeluxe.com, and the Premium subscription. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
1. Who we are
Dookie Deluxe is operated by Godji Tech ("we", "us"). You can reach us at admin@dookiedeluxe.com.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Dookie Deluxe, or 16 where your local law sets that threshold. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the service with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Give us accurate information when you sign up, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else. You may close your account at any time.
4. What the service does
Dookie Deluxe lets you record bowel movements, hydration, meals, medications and symptoms, and presents that information back to you as trends, scores and reports. You may invite other people to view your logs on a read-only basis. Invitees can never edit or delete your entries, and you can revoke their access at any time.
5. Not medical advice
Dookie Deluxe is a personal wellness product. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. The Gut Regularity Score, symptom questionnaire, pattern analysis and Dookology articles are educational information derived from your own entries and general guidance — not clinical assessments, and not a substitute for professional care. Never disregard medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read in the app. If you think you may have a medical emergency, contact your doctor or emergency services immediately.
6. Subscriptions and billing
Free and Premium
Core logging is free. Premium is a paid subscription that unlocks the additional features described on our pricing page.
Free trial
Premium subscriptions begin with a 14-day free trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, you are not charged. If you don't cancel, the subscription starts automatically at the end of the trial and the first payment is taken then. Trials are administered by the App Store or Google Play, and you cancel them in your store account settings.
Auto-renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period — monthly or annually, depending on the plan you chose — until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from within the app or by emailing us. Cancelling stops future charges; your Premium access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Price changes
We may change subscription prices. If we do, we will give you reasonable notice before the change affects you, and the new price will only apply from your next renewal. You are free to cancel before it takes effect.
Taxes
Prices may exclude applicable sales tax, VAT or GST, which is calculated and added at checkout based on your location.
7. Who processes your payment
Subscriptions and tips purchased inside the iOS app are processed by Apple under Apple's terms. Apple is the merchant of record for those purchases, handles billing and tax, and you manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple account settings rather than through us.
Subscriptions purchased inside the Android app are processed by Google Play under Google's terms, and are managed through your Google account rather than by us.
8. Refunds
Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms. Nothing in it limits any statutory rights you have as a consumer.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service unlawfully, or to harass, abuse or impersonate anyone
- Attempt to access another user's data, or circumvent our security or access controls
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the service, or use it to build a competing product
- Interfere with the service's operation, or place unreasonable load on our infrastructure
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.
10. Your data and content
Your entries are yours. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store, process and display them so the service can function — for example, to calculate your statistics or show your logs to a person you have invited. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. Our handling of personal and health data is described in our Privacy Policy.
You can delete individual entries at any time, and you can request deletion of your account and all associated data as described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Availability and changes
We work to keep Dookie Deluxe available and accurate, but we provide it "as is" and cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change or remove features over time. If we make a change that materially reduces what a paid subscription provides, we'll tell you and you may cancel.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for any health outcome arising from your use of, or reliance on, information presented in the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
13. Termination
You may stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, or if we are required to by law. If we terminate your paid subscription without cause, we will refund the unused portion of your current period.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we'll update the date above and notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], and disputes will be subject to the courts of [JURISDICTION]. If you are a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live.
